Save Gaia from the rocks
Remember the Rocks
Should have remembered the rocks!
This is a quote from one of my favorite films from back in the day, Braveheart.
It best describes what the philosophy of this site is all about, which is the constant danger we face from foreign objects from inside and outside of our Solar System.
One wiped out the Dinosaurs!
There is also mounting evidence that another happened around 12,000 years ago causing the Younger Drys period and also raising the possibilities that a great flood did happen and every culture around at that time has it's own version.
Do not be naive and believe it will not happen again!
So how do we save the earth from the rocks?
Should be simple for a species like us, we have satellites all around the earth and other planets, so why not send some out all the around the solar system, feeding back data, giving a heads up on any potential threats?
Especially our trajectory through the Asteroid belt which we pass through twice a year!
Not only that, what do we do when we spot a potential threat to the planet?
We are clever enough, if we have enough time to come up with some idea to change the trajectory of the object towards the Sun forever removing the threat.
All this costs money, which is what idea of this site is all about.
How do we pay for this?
This endeavor would need more investment than anything else we have achieved to date.
The answer to both the threat of the rocks and mankind are simple good ideas.
